"Mio fratello è figlio unico" (My Brother is an Only Child) by Daniele Luchetti, was the top vote-getter among attendees at the second annual Milwaukee Italian Film Festival, held on March 8-9 at UWM's Union Theater.
The film --one of five which made their Milwaukee premieres at the event -- will be released theatrically in the United States on March 28.
Audience members were asked to vote for their favorite films at the festival.
The other films featured at this year's festival were: "Uno su due" (One Out of Two) by Eugenio Cappuccio, "La seconda notte di nozze" (The Second Wedding Night) and "Ma quando arrivano le ragazze" (When Do the Girls Show Up?) -- both by Pupi Avati, -- and "I vicerè" (The Viceroys) by Roberto Faenza.
The free festival was sponsored by the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago and the National Italian American Foundation, and presented in collaboration with the Italian Program in the Department of French, Italian and Comparative Literature at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, the UWM Italian Club, Monferrini in America and the Marquette University Italian Club.
